ANIMATION AND MOTION GRAPHICS
Using animation or motion graphics can help explain or emphasise an important fact or feature that you really want the audience to understand and remember. Sometimes it may be difficult to film something, due to costs or logistics. For example, illustrating the internal workings of a heating system is not possible to film, but animation can clearly show how it all works.
Combining motion graphics and infographics together with video footage will help highlight a key point, not only emphasising a fact but enhancing the visual impact of the video. In these cases animation and motion graphics are the perfect answer, improving your video content immeasurably, delivering information in a clear, concise impactful manner.
The versatility and impact that can be gained with the correct use of high-end animation and motion graphics ensures that any subject or product can be captivating and engaging to the viewer.
HOW TO USE ANIMATION AND MOTION GRAPHICS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
Using animation and motion graphics in the construction industry as part of marketing can be a powerful and engaging way to showcase your projects, services, and expertise. Animation allows you to visually communicate complex ideas, demonstrate construction processes, and create compelling content that attracts and retains the attention of potential clients. Here are some steps and ideas to effectively use animation and motion graphics in construction industry marketing:
- Create 3D Virtual Tours: Develop interactive 3D animations of your construction projects. These virtual tours can showcase the project from different angles, allowing potential clients to explore the space before it’s even built. This helps them understand the design and layout better and increases their confidence in your capabilities.
- Showcase Before-and-After Animations: Use animation to display transformations of existing buildings or renovation projects. This can be a great way to highlight your ability to turn outdated or dilapidated spaces into modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing structures.
- Explainer Videos: Create animated explainer videos that simplify complex construction processes. For example, you could create animations that show how a foundation is laid, how a building is constructed, or how various systems such as plumbing or electrical are installed. These videos can educate potential clients while subtly promoting your expertise.
- Highlight Safety Measures: Safety is a crucial aspect of construction projects. Animate safety procedures and protocols to demonstrate your commitment to ensuring a safe working environment. This can help build trust with potential clients who prioritise safety in their construction projects.
- Use Case Studies: Create animated case studies that highlight successful construction projects you’ve completed. Showcase the challenges you faced and how you overcame them, emphasising the final results. This can demonstrate your problem-solving abilities and the quality of your work.
- Animations for Social Media: Use short, eye-catching animated clips for social media marketing. These can include animated logos, brief project highlights, or snippets of the construction process. Social media platforms often prioritise video content, making animated clips more likely to reach a larger audience.
- Interactive Infographics: Create animated infographics that visually present construction-related data, such as timelines, cost breakdowns, or sustainable building practices. These engaging visuals can help potential clients better understand the key aspects of a construction project.
- Email Marketing: Use animated elements in your email marketing campaigns to grab attention and increase click-through rates. Animated banners or GIFs can make your emails stand out in a crowded inbox.
- Trade Show Presentations: If you participate in construction industry trade shows or events, consider using animations in your exhibition stand presentations. Engaging visuals can attract attendees and keep them interested in learning more about your services.
Remember, the key to successful animation in construction marketing is to focus on the value you bring to clients. Use animation to highlight your strengths, demonstrate your skills, and build trust with potential customers. Keep the content informative, visually appealing and aligned with your brand identity.
ANIMATION
Sometimes it can be difficult to imagine how something can be animated or what style of animation is appropriate for a particular message or product. We can help you and guide you, designing and creating tailor made animation that will lift your video to another level
MOTION GRAPHICS
Motion graphics is animation, but with text as the major component. Basically, it’s animated graphic design. Adding moving text to follow a moving object in your video looks great and enhances the visual impact as well as emphasising a key message.
INFOGRAPHICS
Simple text laid over your video footage can be used to emphasise a fact or feature you want the viewer to remember. It could be a measurement or unique feature that you want to shout about. We could also animate these information.
SUB-TITLES
We can transcribe the spoken word and transform it into sub-titles, ideal when displaying your video in an environment where you cannot have the sound on such as trade shows or on continuous loop in your reception area. We can create foreign language versions.
SOME EXAMPLES OF OUR ANIMATION AND MOTION GRAPHICS WORK

Kensa Heat Pumps animation and motion graphics
Kensa Heat Pumps manufactures the UK’s widest range of ground source heat pumps and accessories. Combining engineering ingenuity and years of ground source expertise, every heat pump in the Kensa range has been designed and tested to exacting standards for optimum efficiency and ease of use. We created this animation to explain exactly how ground source heat pumps work and how they are installed.
Baxi Boilers animation and motion graphics
We produced a suite of 22 films for Baxi, illustrating everything from installation, fault finding and aftercare. We shot the films over three days at the Baxi Training Centre in Dartford.
To produce these instructional videos we combined very simple motion graphics with video.
